Shipping & Returns
Shipping is a bear. It can destroy a small company such as Dragon Scales. We offer free shipping on orders over $100. We offer a flat rate of $8.50 per orders of less than $100. Some rolled materials, such as Dragon Mats and plastic sheets, will not fit in a typical box. They will be shipped in a roll and will likely incur additional costs that will be clearly listed with those items.
Every effort is made to use flat rate boxes from the USPS. This will help keep costs down and try to save you, the customer, as much money as possible. We are gamers too and we want you to spend all your extra cash on fun stuff, not shipping.
Custom & Made to Order Items
Many items are made to order. Production will begin as soon as possible. Any delays will be clearly communicated to you. In the case of large casting orders, they will be shipped as soon as a flat rate box is filled, rather than waiting for the entire order to be completed. This will allow you to begin working on your project without having to wait for all the pieces.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
Custom & made to order items cannot be returned, unless of course there is an error on our part. We will humbly work to correct any errors.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
